'In October of 2007 I found myself staring out the window watching two squirrels scavenging for nuts under the pine trees that surrounded our home. At that moment I felt inspired; something just clicked! Why not create a game about the simple process of collecting acorns? What an interesting idea! I found myself trying to figure out how I could develop this concept into a game.

Squarrels is  based on one man's dream of putting his ideas on cards. My daughter and I have played the game several times and we love it. The game has multiple plays. It does take a few plays to figure out how to play the game correctly. Bryan the creator has been really good at answering all of my questions about playing game. I loved how the game had so many different functions depending on which card you draw.

The game is based on squirrels collecting acorns to win the game before Winter. The game has several action cards to make the playing experience better. Once the Winter Card is drawn the game is over and it's time to count the acorns you've stored. The player with the most acorns wins the game. If you have the golden acorn you get 5 extra points or lose 5 points for the Rotten Acorn Card. We love the game and it's a game I can play with my daughter that doesn't wear me out.
