Dealing with Depression

Living with depression myself I have first hand understanding of how much depression can tear apart your life. I felt that I needed to share that I have dealt with depression since I was a young child. People who suffer from depression feel very much alone. It doesn't matter how many people are in the room or how much money they have or how many people love them. Depression is something that's very difficult for a lot of people. I've gone in and out of depression all of my life. Some days are easier then other days. The biggest thing you can do is do not deny the persons feelings not matter what your perspective of the situation.

Signs and Symptoms of Depression:

1.Aches and Pains for no reason at all

2.Chronic Worrying to the point it takes over your life.

3.Thinking about dying and killing yourself.

4.Feeling a lot of guilt over everything and anything

5.More then typical feelings of anger and agitation.

6.Feelings of extreme anxiety. Things that are typical for your life being blown out of proportion.

7.Feelings of exhaustion for no reason.

8.Trying to numb your feelings with medication or alcohol.

9.Feeling like everything is hopeless and nothing can be better. Not being able to see the bright sides of anything.

10.Not being able to enjoy things in life. Examples: Hobbies, Children, School, Social Situations

11.If you feel like you need to sleep a lot more then your typical recommended eight hours

12.Crying for no reason at all.

I've included some of the signs of depression in my list. Some of the reasons can be related to other health conditions. Be sure to talk to your doctor about your symptoms.
